Services for Harold Clifton Hasty were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas. Interment followed at Union Springs Cemetery.
Harold was born in Palestine on Oct. 29, 1947, to Clifton and Lena Hasty. He dearly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was known by H.C., “Hasty,” “Eugene” and “Popi.” Harold enjoyed working out in his yard, mowing especially.
He served his country proudly in the United States Military Corp from Oct. 31, 1968 to July 22, 1974.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Hasty; and grandson, Jarred Hasty.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Shirlene “Sissy” Hasty; son, Christopher Sanders and wife, Nicole of Corrigan; daughters, Jennifer Thomas and husband, Wes, of Little Rock, Ark., Megan Bedre and husband, Barry, of Palestine, and Krystal Currie of Corrigan; grandson, Troy Hasty-Wilson and wife, Kat, of Palestine; granddaughters, Amy and Ally of Little Rock, Ark., Ali, Karli, Kendall, Kadee, Chasity and Kayla of Corrigan; great-grandchildren, Penelope and Kevin Wilson of Palestine; numerous nieces and nephews; and very special sister and brother-in-law, Jean Turbyfill, and husband, Wayne, and a host of friends who will miss him greatly.
