Services for Jerry Guinn Fletcher, 70, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bill Shiflet officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mr. Fletcher died Thursday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1943 in Palestine to Seldon and Kathleen Fletcher.
Mr. Fletcher was retired from TXU as an electrician where he worked for 24 years. He also was retired from Texas Department of Criminal Justice as an electrician with 11 years of service. Mr. Fletcher loved to work with wood and could build anything.
Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Betty Davis Fletcher; daughters, Jaime Smith and husband Pat of Buffalo, Kim Looney and husband Kevin of Palestine; sons, Rusty Fletcher of St. Louis, Missouri, Mike Gilly of Tyler, and Greg Davis and wife Susie of Elkhart; brother, Seldon Carnish Fletcher and wife Cheral of Crosby; many grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Avery Mahon and Jon Michael Mahon.
Pallbearers will be Greg Davis, Pat Smith, Tucker Looney, Chris Davis, Bill Dunham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Smith, Maci Smith, K.C. Looney, Randy Fletcher, Garrett Fletcher, Desiree Fletcher and Whitnee Davis.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
