— Services for Lorena Salas Aguilera, 42, of Elkhart, were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Charles Pyle officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster, Palestine.

Lorena was born on Jan. 4, 1972, the daughter of Teresa Aguilera Marufo and Miguel Agustin Salas Garcia.

She went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

Lorena was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Nothing was more important to her than her family.

Lorena brought a light to the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger and was always eager to share her Lord. She was a rock to everyone with her faith and trust in Jesus. She was involved in every ministry at her church home of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents; her sons, Alexander Salcedo and Gary Salcedo; daughter, Fernanda (Fenny) Salcedo; brothers, Miguel Salas and wife Tina Alvarado, Felipe Salas and wife Yuridia Moncada; sisters, Celina Salas and husband Cesar Ramirez, Rosalia Salas and husband Aldo Aguilar; fiance, Sandy Dixon; best friend, Angie Pierson; and numerous nephews and nieces.
