Memorial services for Elizabeth Carlson Hadley will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Mr. Carmel Baptist Church in Whitehouse, with the Rev. Bennie Portwood and he Rev. Travis White officiating, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hadley passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014.
She was born Oct. 25, 1935 in Omaha to L.E and Mae Hall Dameron.
Elizabeth was employed as a bookkeeper, office manager, and administrative assistant in the manufacturing industry. Her hard work and dedication enabled all three of her children to earn college degrees. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing with her many friends, especially the Joy Sunday school class, and playing 42.
Mrs. Hadley was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Judge Herman Hadley.
She is survived by her loving family including three children, daughter, Theresa Ledsome and husband Jeff of Brownwood; son, Dr. Russell E. Carlson of Buffalo, N.Y., daughter, Vickie Pridgen and husband Lynn of Neches; four grandchildren, Colin Ledsome, Shelbi Taylor, Lauren Carlson and Elliott Carlson; sister, Betty White; and nephew, Travis White of Flint.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her doctors for their dedicated and compassionate care of our Mom during this time, Dr. James Stanford, Dr. Noah Israel and Dr. Aide Onime. Her children wish to extend a very special thank you to Mom’s caregiver, Tasha Nobles. Thank you for caring for our Mom this year and loving her just as we did. You became very special to Mom and us, we are forever grateful.
Mom, we love and adore you and you are already missed. Keep that beautiful smile and tell everyone we said hi.
