Rose Warren Skains

Services for Rose Warren Skains, 84, of Palestine, were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Edward L. Davis officiating. Burial was in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mrs. Skains passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at East Texas Medical Center Tyler.

She was born July 31, 1929 in Anderson County to Thomas Warren and Bertha Collier Warren. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Skains was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Franklin Skains; grandson, Shannon Guy Skains; sisters, Marion “Sis” Pritt and Mildred Smith; and a brother, Tony Warren.

She is survived by sons, Bennie Ray “B.R.” Skains and wife, Betty of Laguna Park and Terry C. Skains and fiancé, Linda Drees, of Palestine; sister, Shug Keeling of Palestine; three grandchildren, Josh Ray Skains, Kelly Nicole Skains Beasley and Crystal Rose Skains; and four great-grandchildren, Riley Skains, Macie Skains, Kinley Skains and Caleb Beasley.

Pallbearers were Josh Skains, Michael Beasley, David Drees, Jeremy Drees, Jerry Hibbler and Jerry Hofnor.

Condolence calls were received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
