Dara Seagler Pace

— Services for Dara Lynn Seagler Pace, 38, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Evangelistic Temple with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pace went to be with her wonderful Savior on Friday, April 12, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends, after years of fighting cancer.

She was born on Oct. 3, 1974 in Palestine to Larry Seagler and Glenda Shaver Scroggins.

Mrs. Pace lived in Palestine her entire life and was a member of the Evangelistic Temple. Dara was a walking miracle for 27 years. She loved her entire family and was an inspiration to everyone she met. She adored her four Yorkies – Chewy, Lexie, Little Girl, and Buttons. She also enjoyed butterflies.

Mrs. Pace was preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Jack Shaver; grandmother, Jeanne Seagler; and cousin, Stuart Shaver.

Survivors include her loving husband of 13 years, Michael Pace; parents, Glenda and Ken Scroggins and Larry Seagler; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Molly Pace; grandfather, Claude Seagler; sisters, Delaina Callahan and husband Shon and Dechelle Castillo and husband Phillip; nieces and nephews, Krista and Christian Castillo, Chelsie VanMarter, Carlie, Carter, and Cash Callahan; great-nephew, Braxtyn VanMarter; aunts and uncles, Sherry Shaver, Donald Shaver, and Randy and Louann Shaver; cousins, Scott Shaver, Amy Quick, Deann Leisch, Kerri Warren, Shaina Warrington, Jeremy Jett, and Jamie Woods.

Pallbearers include Phillip Castillo, Christian Castillo, Shon Callahan, Dan Hiett, Richard Bullard, and David Warren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dara Pace Memorial Fund at Evangelistic Temple.

The family of Dara would like to thank you for all the prayers over the years. It was by the grace of God that we had her for the time we did. A special thanks to everyone that helped her, past and present that kept our Dara going and helped her become the strongest person we will ever know. God Bless You.
