Funeral services for Rosa Lee Davis, 89, of Buffalo, and formerly of Palestine and Texas City, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Burial will follow in the Herrington/Land of Memories Cemetery in Palestine. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the funeral home.
Rosa Lee Davis was born on Dec. 30, 1924 in Winters, Texas to Curtis and Nancy (LaMothe) Langford.
She worked in the banking business as a proof operator and had lived in Buffalo since 2005. Rosa was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo and enjoyed working with Genealogy. She also enjoyed flowers, birds and going to the senior citizens center to visit with her friends and play games.
Rosa passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in Buffalo.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Hershel Davis; sister, Laura Mae Burnett; granddaughter, Diana Lynn Chatham; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Angel’ Gagliano; and son-in-law, Arty E. Chatham.
She is survived by a son, Robert Davis and wife, Rena, of Corpus Christi; daughter, Nancy Spikes and husband, W.R. “Buddy” of Buffalo; brother, Howard Langford of Personville; grandchildren, Robert Davis II, Sheri Gagliano, Curtis Chatham, Lori Wolf and Vicki Holik; step-grandchildren, Gregory Spikes and Kathryn Spikes; great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Courtney, Colin, Jerusha, Julie, Rebecca, Cory, Caitlin and Michael; step-great-grandson, Tanner; and great-great-grandchildren, Madison and Levi.
