— On April 19, 2014, Geoffrey Woodrow Parker went to be with our Lord due to a fatal traffic accident. Geoff was born on Nov. 20, 1963. Geoff was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. He loved life and laughter. Geoff was a hard worker and willing to help others. He was a good man with a sweet spirit, and loved his Lord and his family. He will be greatly missed by many.

Geoff was a longtime resident of Shreveport, La., an employee of KSLA and former owner of Golden Tanning Hut. He was a gifted photographer. He was employed at Sunoco Logistics and his family moved to Nacogdoches in 2011.

Services are to be held on Thursday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine, Texas.

The family will receive condolence calls at 1 p.m. prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Malmay Parker; daughter, Evelynne Rose Parker; and son, Slade Christopher Parker of Nacogdoches; mother, Jo Ann Starkey; adoptive father, Jerry L. Starkey; father, Gary W. Parker and wife Tammy; sister, Cynthia Jo Fickey and husband Richard, their daughter, Rachel Fickey, all of Palestine; and son, Coty Rodriguez and wife Sheila and their son Jace of San Antonio; two half-brothers, Gary W. Parker of Palestine, Greg Parker and wife, Sara of Whitehouse; mother-in-law, Charlotte Mobley; and brother-in-law, Brad Mobley of Shreveport, La.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins of Palestine and other parts of Texas and Louisiana.
