Gary Mack Fitzgerald
Services for Gary Mack Fitzgerald, 56, of Blackfoot, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Stroud and the Rev. Bobby Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Mr. Fitzgerald died Saturday at his home.
He was born May 30, 1950 in Palestine to Joe Mack Fitzgerald and R.V. Hatfield Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fitzgerald was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he worked as a telephone customer service representative for Embarq. He had been employed for over 28 years with the telephone company.
Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother R.V. Fitzgerald, three brothers: David Hunter Fitzgerald and wife Brenda, Robert Allen Fitzgerald and wife Carol and Jimmy Joe Fitzgerald and wife Kelley, all of the Blackfoot community; also two nieces, seven nephews, three great nieces and two great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joey Fitzgerald, Darby Fitzgerald, Bryan Fitzgerald, Kevin Fitzgerald, Brandon Fitzgerald, Jared Fitzgerald, Steve Hatfield and James Batchelor. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the telephone company.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
John Raymond Lively
Services for John Raymond Lively, 92, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robley Soileau will be officiating. Burial will follow in Strongs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Lively died Sunday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 23, 1914 in Anderson County to Marshall and Allie Morehead Lively. Mr. Lively was raised in Palestine and worked for the railroad for 35 years in the Houston area. He retired back to Palestine. He had been a Mason.
Mr. Lively was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Joe Lively and Everette Lively and two sisters; Estelle Mosley and Gladys Shaver.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Lively of Palestine; daughter, Sue Olsson and husband Al of Tyler; three sons, Harry Lively and wife Jeannie of Pearland, Tony Lively and wife Danna of Corsicana, Rusty Lively and fiancé Holly Lawrence of Palestine; three brothers, Preston, Victor and Bill Lively, all of Palestine; two sisters, Joan Finch and husband Pete of Palestine, Joyce Pierce of Koontz; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Lively, Christopher Lively, Kurt Olsson, Bill Lively Jr., Steve Knox, Dennis Knox, Jeffrey Lively, Gary Hobson and J.J. Schultz.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
