Dr. Thomas Anderson

— Services for Dr. Thomas Anderson, 75, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgn. Zach officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Dr. Anderson died Saturday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 13, 1937 in Gretna, Manitoba, Canada to Thomas Duncan and Connie Sheedy Anderson.

Dr. Anderson was a retired ophthalmologist .

Dr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Karen Sawyer.

He is survived by his wife Bernice Anderson of Palestine; sons, Tom Anderson and wife Tina, Joe Anderson and wife Anne, all of The Woodlands, Gordon Anderson and wife Julie of Round Rock; sisters, Daphne Wightman and husband Stu and Colleen Kong, all of Ottawa, Canada; and a brother, Steve Anderson and wife Lorie of Arnprior, Canada; eight grandchildren, Laura, Kelly, Joey, Tommy, Chris, Lindsay, Samantha and Jack.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice or St. Vincent de Paul, 503 N. Queen St., Palestine, Texas 75801.
