Frances Marion Lawrence

Frances Marion Lawrence, 94 of El Dorado, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Timberlane Health and Rehab Center in El Dorado. Marion was born on Feb. 24, 1920 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Charles Rupert Stevens and Una Jones Stevens.

All will remember Marion as a wise, kind and generous person who took a genuine interest in everyone she knew.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Henry Lawrence; two brothers, Dr. Charles Stevens and Dr. Bill Stevens; and by one son, David Lawrence.

Those left to cherish her memory include, one daughter, Betty Tucker of El Dorado, Ark.; one son, Charles Lawrence of Carthage; three grandsons, Mike Tucker of El Dorado, Jeff Tucker and wife Jenna of El Dorado, and Jay Lawrence and wife Samantha of Houston; one granddaughter, Leslie Luna and husband Dan of Virginia Beach, Va.; six great-grandchildren, Jake Tucker, Rachel Tucker, Dair Lawrence, Brendon Lawrence, Gabe Luna and Alexandra Luna; one sister, Martha Williams and husband Charlie of Palestine; one brother, J.J. Stevens and wife Evelyn of Athens; also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Athens, with Dr. Faulk Landrum officiating. Burial will be at Athens City Cemetery.
