Services for Laura Dale Pate Warren, 76, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Ken Summerville officiating. Burial will follow in Wheelock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Warren died Saturday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 13, 1937 in Flo, Texas to Edward Lovington Pate Jr. and Theodocia Smith Pate.
Mrs. Warren was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. She was retired from Kroger Food Store where she had worked as a file clerk and other positions for 35 years. She supported the March of Dimes working with them during bake sales and other charity functions.
Mrs. Warren was preceded in death by her parents;, her husband of 54 years, James Edward Warren; a brother, Archie Edward Pate; sisters, Winnie Lee Hosea, Patsy Pennington, Chilie “Charlie” Boley; and a niece, Jeanie Alexander Barton.
She is survived by her sister, Wilma LaVerne Alexander; brother-in-law, Bryant Boley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Wanda Warren; 16 nieces and nephews and 52 great-nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Boley, George Pennington, Robert Higginbotham, Daniel Lee Snodgrass, Gary Jones, Ron Duckworth, David McKinney and Russell Lidberg.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
