Wylie Harold “Pete” Ingram, 77, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his residence in Tennessee Colony following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1936 in Palestine, Texas.
For most of his life, he was self-employed in the trucking industry with his brothers.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Solon A. Ingram and Gladys Humphrey Ingram; four brothers; one sister; and his previous wife, Sue Hagan Ingram.
He is survived by his wife of 12 1/2 years, Ellen Perry Ingram; brother, R.Q. Ingram of Palestine; sister, Louise Belknap of Balch Springs, Texas; stepdaughters, Melinda Lee Clayton and Cecilia Lee Constancio and husband, John, both of Jacksonville; stepsons, Johnny Hagan and wife Vickie of Virginia and Big John Carmack and wife Janet of Burnett, Texas; five grandsons; two granddaughters; six great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ingram chose to be cremated. An open house and visitation for friends and relatives will be held at his residence in Tennessee Colony from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
