— Funeral services for James Hulen Holcomb, 85, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Nolan D. Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Holcomb passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1928 in Anderson County to James Oza Holcomb and Montie Tamp Hanks Holcomb.

He worked for Western Union 36 years, and was a member of Union United Methodist Church.

Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Evelyn Sholden.

He is survived by his wife, Belva Lee Holcomb of Palestine; sons, James Holcomb Jr. and wife Debbie of Palestine, Jody Bill Holcomb and wife Lori of Duncanville; sister, Hazel Marie Johnson and husband Conard of Winnsboro; brother, Nolan Holcomb and wife Suzi of Washington State; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Bailey & Foster, Palestine.
