— Memorial services for J. K. "Jimmy" Richardson, 90, of Denham Springs, La., will be held this Saturday, Feb. 22 at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Palestine beginning at 11 a.m. The church is located at 106 E. Crawford street.  

The family would be honored to have you as their guest and to share your thoughts and memories as they celebrate Jim's life. There will be food and and refreshments.  

Jimmy passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in Baton Rouge, La. For many years Jimmy worked as a radio maintainer for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, later on becoming head of Communicaions for the MPRR which later became Union Pacific Railroad. Prior to his railroad days he was the Engineer and Disc Jockey/Announcer for radio station KNET-AM. Jimmy served his country in the United States of America in the Army with the Fighting 69th Infantry during World War II reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was a radio man. 

He was preceeded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers and his first wife, Ruth Richardson.  

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth who resides in Denham Springs.  He also is survived by a daughter, Martha Polasek and husband Frank of Palestine; son, Fred Richardson and wife, RutheAnn of Zavalla; grandchildren, Georgie Todd and husband Tim of Palestine, Keith Richardson of Frankston, Shawn Edwards and wife Kathy of Palestine; Jaye Curtis and wife Jen of Nebraska, and Don McBride and wife of Onalaska; several great-grandchildren and one great-great grandaughter.
