Robert Earl Seago

Born Jan. 5, 1939 to the late Lillian Pearl Douglas and Walter Worsham Seago, Robert Seago went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 as he took his last breath here and his first breath in Heaven. He was 75 years young.

Services will be held at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine, Texas on March 1, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, John Hammock of Lancaster, Texas; his brothers, Howard Seago of Houston, Texas, Walter Seago of Pursley, Texas; and his sister, Ann McClure of Garland, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Etoye Charlotte Seago, of Grand Prairie, Texas; and their daughters, Lisa Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Tammy Huntress of Dawson, Texas, and Lavonne Hernandez of Wylie, Texas. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Pinson and her husband Gary of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Laverne Dockery and her husband Mitchell of Waco, Texas.

Bob was a loving Grandad to Taelor and Drake Davis of San Antonio, Jonathan Huntress, stationed in Oahu, Hawaii with his wife Lindsey, children Audree, Aiden and Laythan, Rachel Huntress of Abilene, Texas and her son Corbin, and Allan, Roberto and Samuel Hernandez of Wylie.

Bob loved the Lord and was a dedicated servant of Christ. After serving his country as a Marine, he then dedicated his life to Christ, and became an ordained minister and pastored for 37 years. His evangelistic approach to salvation was both theologically sound and spiritually charged. Winning souls for the kingdom was his lifelong desire.

Graduating from Linda Vista Baptist Bible College and Seminary in San Diego, Calif., Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Biblical Studies. He then gained further knowledge in Switzerland under Dr. Frances Schafer at L’Abri Fellowship in Huemoz, Switzerland. =He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all.
