Rebecca served as treasurer and editor of the newsletter for the Angel of Goliad Descendants Historical Preservation Organization. She was also one of the founders of the Angel of Goliad Descendants Historical Preservation and member of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas.

An avid reader, traveler, love of people especially children and her love of writing poetry she enjoyed meeting new people and praying for them. She enjoyed Mariachi Mexican Music, old Mexican Waltzes, and Luciano Pavarotti Opera Music.

Her loves of her life were her son and grandson. She often spoke of her trip to the Holy Land and Rome and how her faith became more alive and meaningful because of this trip. In her later years she became a Prayer Warrior praying for so many people to get closer to God.
