Clyde "Curly" Wesley Skeen, 62, of Palestine, passed away in his home Friday, March 14, 2014 due to cancer. Curly was born in Dallas on Nov. 11, 1951, to Clinton "Red" and Cherry Davis Skeen. He served our country in the U.S. Army Special Forces Operations during the Vietnam era.
Mr. Skeen is survived by his wife, Linda Rogers; stepsons, Robert Rogers of Palestine, Alan Compton and Thomas Rogers of San Antonio; sister, Donna Skeen; niece, Shannon Robb; and nephew, Gabriel Robb, all from San Antonio. His closest cousins, Tracy Dudley Bouquet of Magnolia and Vince Revill of Palestine have been a source of great comfort, solace and support for Curly and his family.
Mr. Skeen also is mourned by numerous cousins located throughout Texas, Arkansas, Arizona and Oregon.
A "Sunset" memorial service for Mr. Skeen will be held April 4, 2014, at 6 p.m. in the Neches Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation to a veteran service organization of your choice.
