Gracia Rae “Honey” Cantwell Hasty

Graveside services for Gracia Rae “Honey” Cantwell Hasty, 75, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17 with Jack “Trey” Smith III officiating.

Mrs. Hasty passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Cartmell Home for Aged in Palestine.

She was born Oct. 11, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Rayburn and Gracia Taylor Cantwell.

She worked at Industrial Garment Factory and for Food Service at Palestine Independent School District.

She was very loving, giving and caring. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

She will be missed by those who knew her.

Mrs. Hasty was preceded in death by her daughter, Gracia Kay Hasty; her parents; and her brother, Rayburn Cantwell Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley “Pete” Hasty; her sister, Sarah Tway; her sons, Wesley Hasty and wife, Pam, and Cecil Hasty; her daughter, Cheryl Hasty Walding and husband, Bobby; her grandchildren, Jarrod Hasty and wife, Julie, Brittany Hasty Boyd and husband, Rusty, Josh Walding, Colin Walding, Colin Hasty, Michael Hasty, Tammie Hasty; her great-grandchildren, Christa Smith and Wyatt Boyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
