Palestine Herald-Press

— Rachel left us to be at home with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, May 13, 2013 at the young age of 28. She was born May 12, 1985 in Jacksonville to Darla Nix Bison and Jonathan Gray.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 10 a.m. at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Randall Reeves and the Rev. Zeth Smith officiating.

Rachel was a daughter, sister and foremost a mother. Her life centered around her children, never satisfied being an onlooker or observer when it came to her involvement with their activities only happy to be a participant, playmate and best friend.

She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, John A. and Velma Gaydon; maternal great-grandparents, Robbie and Sallie Carroll; and  uncle, James Boothe.

She is survived by her four lovely children, Karlin, Joleigh, Wayland and Camron; her mother and stepfather, Darla and Stacy Bison; father and stepmother, Jonathan and Patricia Gray; fiance, ` James Bishop; brothers, Bo Gray and Jon Gray; paternal grandparents, James and Patti Gray; maternal grandmother, Marie Nix; stepsisters, Candice Andrews and Jennifer Massey; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
