A memorial service for Kathleen Reinhard Sharpe will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.
She was born April 9, 1954, in San Antonio and passed away at her home in Flint on Dec. 31, 2012.
Kathleen graduated from Palestine High School and attended Tyler Junior College, where she was a member of the Apache Belles. She was a successful businesswoman and enjoyed painting with the watercolor group “Splash” in Tyler.
Along with her husband of 15 years, she was an avid bow hunter, and they spent numerous summers in Colorado. For the last four years, her other constant companion was her beloved Boykin Spaniel, “Baylee.”
Kathleen is survived by her husband, David Sharpe of Flint; and her parents, Leland and Violet Reinhard of Dallas, formerly of Palestine. Her sister is Peggy Reinhard Marlowe (husband John) of Richardson and her brother is Leland Reinhard (wife Laurette) of Cleburne. Other survivors include a stepson, Darrel Amen of Flower Mound; stepdaughter, Stephanie Bodenhamer of Chester, Va.; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, prior to the memorial service at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
