— Services for Norman Ray Davis, 75, of Bullard, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Mark Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Chambers Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mr. Davis died Thursday in Tyler.  

He was born Dec. 4, 1937 in Elkhart to Thomas Fulton Davis and Edith Bush Davis. He was an electrician for Alcoa. He served in the Air Force for 20 years, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars and also a member of Gateway Baptist Church in Whitehouse.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of 35 years, Bettie Davis; daughter, Nelda Jayne Davis Covazos; son, Michael Ray Davis; and brother, Jerry Delbert Davis.  

He is survived by his wife, Mina Goodson Corn Davis of Bullard; daughter, Laura Davis Bowden and husband Troy of Palestine; sons, James Thomas Davis and wife Brooke of Sherman, and Steven Davis and wife Dana of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister, Dorothy Davis Grasty and husband Donald of Arlington; three grandsons; stepsons, Brian Corn and wife Cathy of Kansas City, Mo., and Kevin Corn of Houston, and numerous step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Todd Hollingsworth, Neal French, Brad Wilkinson, John McCoy, Greg Bowman, Eric Tanner and Eric LeGard. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Davis, Jared Davis and Rylan Davis.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
