— Funeral services for Carlos Wade Pierce, 84, of Montalba, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bois D'Arc Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Drinkard officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.

Mr. Pierce passed away Wednesday at his residence.  

He was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Anderson County to Harold Clisto Pierce and Gladys Opal Royle Pierce. He was a retired tractor salesman.

Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Marie Staines Pierce; sons, Kenton Pierce and Patrick Pierce; sister, Ruthie Lambright; and brother, Harold Clisto Pierce Jr.  

He is survived by sons, Tim Pierce, Jerry Pierce and wife Sharon; daughter-in-law, Becky Pierce; sisters, Juanita Ewers and Belva Lee Holcomb and husband James; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
