— Carrey Sue Harriman, age 48, passed away onThursday, July 25, 2013, at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

She was born Feb. 26, 1965, in Palestine, Texas to Milton and Jeannette Storey.

Survivors include two children, William Harriman and Tamara Harriman; her mother, Jeannette Storey; sisters, Terry Stanton, Sherry Tucker, and Tammy Smith; and a brother, Tim Storey, all of Palestine.

Carrey was a dietary manager for Cartmell Home for Aged in Palestine for the past 20 years dedicating her life to making others happy. This is what truly made her happy in life, whether it was giving a resident her time sharing a hug or smile, or coming home and being the best parent two children could every ask for. She was not only a mom for her two children but every one of their friends loved her like their mom as well. You can not replace a friend/mother with her kind heart and passion for everything she did in her short beautiful life. She will be truly missed way more than she would have ever known. God shared one of his best creations with us for a short but wonderful time.  We love you Carrey and you will never be forgotten.

A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

A reception will follow in the “Peggy Howland’s Gathering Place” at the Cartmell Home on the Variah Street entrance.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Carrey Harriman Fund at the Anderson County Credit Union.
