Services for Edna McCracken, 94, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Ray Prince and the Rev. Larry Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. McCracken died Wednesday at Cartmell Home for Aged.
She was born Nov. 6, 1918 in Lutherville, Ga. to Curtis and Clara Tenney Washington. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McCracken was a charter member of the Westwood United Methodist Church and a member of the Sunshine Guild for nine years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.L. McCracken; a daughter, Toni McCracken Ingram; brother, Dub McCracken; and sisters, Catherine Dean and Ruth Crane.
Mrs. McCracken is survived by her son, Pat McCracken of Palestine; a sister, Loretta Young and husband Charlie of Palestine; brothers, J.B. McCracken of Kilgore, Stafford McCracken and wife Mary Anne of Palestine; special niece, Ola Pearl Reeves; and special sister-in-law, Pauline Killion; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Don Young, David Young, Patrick McCracken, Roger Dean, William Whitley and Tommy Gunnels. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Reeves, Harold Dean and Richard King.
