— Sandra Worley Ives, 68, of Palestine, moved to her heavenly home on April 1, 2013. Sandra was born to Paul Worley and Altha Main Worley on Feb. 18, 1945. She attended Maydelle schools. After graduation she attended Nixon Business College and Trinity Valley Community College earning a degree in accounting. Sandra married Leslie D. Ives and had two children, David and Christie.

Having worked for the City of Palestine for 40 years, she retired in 2008 freeing up time to enjoy her grandchildren, her church work, and her church family. Sandra loved to travel with her dear friends Ruth, Sue and Jane. They shared many fantastic adventures.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; her parents; and two sisters.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Christie Ives Perry and husband Todd; and son, David Ives and wife Jennifer. She leaves behind the lights of her life, her seven beautiful grandchildren, Morgan, Rance and Blake Perry, Paul, Jordan, Jessi and Josh Ives. She also leaves two brothers, Jerry Worley and wife Barbara, and Elward Worley and wife Ada; stepsister, Alice Morton; sister-in-law, Darlene Ives; stepmother, Reba Worley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Crockett Road Church of Christ in Palestine with Dan Manuel officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home in Palestine.

Paul Ives, Rance Perry, Eddie Worley, Jason Ives, David Wayne Ives, and Delbert Ives will serve as pallbearers,

We would like to thank Dr. Katrina Glover and Tyler Hematology and Oncology as well as Hospice of East Texas for all of the care and support given to Sandra over the past year.
