Services for Margaret Martin White, 73, of Houston, will be at noon Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Lakewood Church, located at 3700 Southwest Freeway in Houston.
A viewing will be held at 11 a.m., one hour before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Houston.
Mrs. White died May 25, 2013 at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston after a brief illness.
She was born March 7, 1940 and was raised in Palestine. She was a member of Lakewood Church, led by television evangelist Joel Osteen. She served as a children’s ministry teacher for the 4-year-olds for many years.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Martin Sr. and Calla Jane Martin; husband, Willie White; and brother, Roland Martin Jr.
Those left to remember her sweet memories are sons, Kenneth White (Marion) of Germany, Stanley White (Lynette) of Houston and Stacy White (Marsha) of Houston; daughters, Jackie White Rosette (Barry) of Houston, Vicky White Wright (Steve) of Tulsa, Okla., Angela Martin of Houston, Marla White of Houston and Christina White of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Mary Irene Spurlock of Palestine and Flora Spurlock Davis of Jacksonville; brothers, Minister James E. Martin and William Martin, both of Palestine; aunt, Lydia DeCluette of Richland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
