Mary Mollard Wallace passed away May 4, 2013 at age 91. She resided at the Cartmell Home for the Aged for six years prior to her death.
She was born in January 1922 in Palestine to Henry Clay and Carrie Elizabeth Mollard. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Palestine. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; and her son, John James (Jim.)
She is survived by her son, Robert (Bob); her daughter, Deborah (Debbie); her grandson, Kenneth; and granddaughter, Heather; three great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
She loved Palestine and spent many happy times at home visiting with her longtime friends and traveling with them on tours. Mrs. Wallace and her husband were contractors and built many homes in Palestine and the Houston area. Later, they owned a travel agency. Mrs. Wallace loved life but, as a devout Christian, did not fear death.
