— Services for Virginia Swinney, 78, of Jacksonville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, with the Rev. Joel McMahon and the Rev. Wilson Welch officiating.

Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park, Jacksonville.

Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mrs. Swinney passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 in Jacksonville.

She was born Dec. 17, 1934 in Longview.

Mrs. Swinney was raised in Kilgore and moved to Jacksonville from Tatum, was a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, worked for 10 years at Trane as a machine operator until 1979, and also worked at Lang’s and Sadlers.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Swinney, parents Hervey Lee and Bethel Harrelson Montgomery, son Monty Adams, grandson Kyle Wayne Adams, and brothers Harold, Clyde, and Bobby Montgomery.

Survivors include her sons, Kelly Adams and wife Karen of Jacksonville and Rodney Adams of Jacksonville; daughters, Debbie Brown and husband George of Jacksonville and Rhonda Swinney and husband Tim of Jacksonville; brother, Hervey Montgomery Jr. of Kilgore; sisters, Gladys Jackson and Lynn McQuiggin, both of Spring; 10 grandchildren, Jason Lee, Jamie Brown, Jote Brown, Matthew Kyle Adams, Amanda Adams, Rachel Swinney, Taylor Swinney, Brandon Adams, Shannon Adams and Shanda Branch; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Kyle Adams, Mick Schmitt, Corny Perez, Billy Stark, Bobby Jack Bateman and Rob Gowin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Adams, Justin Lee, Trevor Faulk, Peyton Faulk, Bradyn Faulk, Taylor Swinney, Kirk Sadler, Shannon Adams and Caleb Lee.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
