Ollie Elizabeth Hilton Shelton passed from this world to spend her eternal life in heaven at 2:45 p.m., April 30, 2013, at her home in Alvin, Texas with her family. Ollie was married for 63 years to the love of her life the late Elwin Shelton. After 23 years of selling Avon, her and Elwin retired to Palestine, Texas and spent their golden years together on their small farm that they loved.
Among other interest and affiliations, she was a proud member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin; parents, Ada and George Hilton; sisters, Cliffie Black and Virginia Campbell; brothers, Burl Hilton, James Hilton and John Bunyon Hilton; great-grandson, Scott Allen Green Jr.; and great-great-granddaughter, Natalie Richardson. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Shirley Ruth Gentry and husband John; grandchildren, Robert Elwin Green, Elizabeth Evelyn Cross and husband Bill, Sharon Lee Wagner and Joe Bisirri, Lisa Michelle Bunker and husband Brett, Scott Allen Green and wife Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Melissa and Jason Jenkins, Tabatha and Brock Sanchez, Aaron Duke, Tyler McMahon, Greer Bunker, Kayle Green, Tyler Green, and Raegan Green; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Bailey & Foster Chapel. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
