Funeral services for Jasmine Elizabeth Thomas, 18, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Washburn officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Bradford.
Jasmine passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Palestine from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born on June 17, 1994, in Palestine, Texas to Charles Thomas and Lisa Morris.
She was a 2012 graduate of Elkhart High School and was attending Star College of Cosmetology in Tyler. Jasmine loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a smile on her face and was loved by everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Henry P. Morris; great-grandparents, Jane and Ned Johnson and H.J. and Hallobee Morris; and an uncle, Norman Thomas.
She is survived by her father, Charles Thomas of Palestine; and mother, Lisa Morris of Palestine; brothers, Zach Thomas and wife Lyric of Elkhart, Dominck Thomas of Palestine, and Trevon Thomas of Palestine; grandmothers, Juanita Thomas of Palestine and Linda Morris of Palestine; grandfather, Norman Hutchinson of Dallas; aunts and uncles, Chris and Tracy Thomas of Palestine, Angela Thomas of Elkhart, Bubba and Rhonda Morris of Elkhart; nephews, Noah Thomas and Kaden Morris; cousins, Josh Morris of Elkhart, Chelsy Morris of Elkhart, Ashanti Holmes of Elkhart, and Chris Thomas Jr. of Dallas; and boyfriend, Teddi Wayne Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Zach Thomas, Josh Morris, Dominck Thomas, Trevon Thomas, Chris Yonts and Wyatt Ballard.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
