Graveside services for Barbara Jean Luker, 49, of Elkhart, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at Pilgrim Cemetery with the Rev. Barney Walker officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Barbara passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Palacios, Texas on March 9, 1964, to Edwin Mosier Jr. and Pauline Arnold Mosier.
She worked as a cashier at Murphy’s Oil and Gas in front of Wal-Mart Store in Palestine. Barbara loved living in east Texas for the past 25 years. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. She got along with everyone that knew her. She will be greatly missed.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joe Luker of Elkhart; daughter, Kristy Jean Baker of Tennessee Colony; son, John Luker of Elkhart; father, Edwin Mosier and mother Pauline Mosier of Elkhart; sister, Shirley Clark of Elkhart; brothers, James Mosier of Pinehurst, Neil Mosier of Magnolia; one grandson, Matthew Baker; “Pappy” Wayne Hodges; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be James Mosier, Neil Mosier, Christopher Hockett, Billy Johnson, B.J. Jones and Arty Besiruser.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
