Memorial services for Betty Joe Streetman, 85, of Palestine, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Streetman passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Palestine Regional Medical Center.She was born October 4, 1928, in Crockett, Texas to Benjamin Franklin (B.F.) Bradley and Mary Hopper Bradley. Mrs. Streetman had lived in Palestine most of her life. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Palestine where she taught Sunday school and was involved with the youth ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Pick H. Streetman; brothers, Cecil F. Bradley, Rosser Bradley, Glen Bradley, and Charlie Bradley; and sisters, Kathleen Starr and Jonnie Powell.
She is survived by her loving companion, John McLen of Palestine; sons, Charlie Frank Streetman and wife Sharon of Gatesville, Ben R. Streetman and wife Jenifer of Palestine, and Joe B. Streetman and wife Tess of Richland, Wash.; daughters, Glenda Williams and husband David of Houston and Beth Gotcher and husband Scott of Palestine; brother, Ben (Pinto) Bradley and wife Anna of Waller; and sister, Nell Horton and husband Bob of Lufkin; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Jess, Catherine, Jayna, Garrett, Angela, Bradley, Eric, and Grace; and four great-grandchildren, Avery, Callen, Ansley, and Emma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
