— Services for Bruce H. White, 70, of Palestine, and formerly of Houston, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine, Texas with the Rev. Jerry Carroll officiating.

Bruce passed away May 12, 2013 in Houston, surrounded by his family.

Bruce served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a Houston police officer from 1970 to 1984. He then worked as a deputy for the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Arnold and Kathy Arnold; and brother, David Arnold.

He is survived b his wife of 49 years, Barbara White; sons, Troy White and wife Samantha, and Christopher White and wife Crystal; grandchildren, Cory White, David White, Nathan White, Ashlyn White, Kale White, Garrett Harrison and Ethan Harrison; and great-grandchildren, Madison White and Maggie Estrada; brother, Mike Arnold; and sister, Barbara Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews.
