Mary Elizabeth Dickens

A Celebration of Life for Mary Elizabeth Dickens, 77, Montalba is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 at Bois D’ Arc Baptist Church, 310 Anderson County Road 465 in Palestine, with the Rev. Mike Drinkard officiating.

Mary Elizabeth passed away July 17 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler after a lengthy illness and courageous battle.

She was born Sept. 24, 1935 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Max and Florence Marie Bentley Reynolds. Mary Elizabeth was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edgar.

Survivors include children, Terry Sowash and husband Tim, Toni Ganzenmuller and husband Paul, Scott Dickens and wife Beverly; grandchildren, Brian Small and wife Carrie, Stephanie Bayley and husband Stuart, Matthew Saunders and wife Shannon, Julia Lentini and husband Ryan, Amy Sowash, Emily Dickens and Brady Dickens; great grandchildren, Alexandra Small, Emmilie Small, Leighton Saunders and Trevor Lentini; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and her dear church family.

A private family interment ceremony is scheduled at Restland Cemetery.
