Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 8 for Marian Kiser Thompson of Baker, La., at Palestine’s Land of Memory Cemetery. She was born Feb. 11, 1937 to Doris Hilton Kiser and Edmond (E.D.) Kiser of Palestine, Texas. She passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at her residence in Baker.
Marian was a bookkeeper for a number of years, working with companies including Goodyear Tire in Tyler and was a longtime employee of Doors Inc. in Baton Rouge. She was a homemaker, talented seamstress and avid bowler.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy Thompson Bryant and her husband Michael; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Scott Thompson and wife Lisa Smith Thompson and Rex Mitchell Thompson and wife Sheila Waguespack Thompson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Virginia Cantrell and husband Jimmy and Shirley McInnis. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren (Tabitha, Shawn, Brandie, Chris, Rebecca, Sarah, Blaine, Blake, Zane and Trista) and six great-grandchildren (Chance, Shelby, Caitlyn, Colten, Kayleigh and Witten). Other surviving relatives include her mother-in-law, Cordy Thompson; brother-in-law, Bob Thompson and wife Brenda.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Doris Hilton Kiser; and her husband of 26 years, Larry Edward Thompson.
