— Funeral services for Larry Gene Huff, 56, of Grapeland, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Grapeland, with the Rev. Chuck Bratz officiating. Burial will follow in Dailey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Huff passed away at his residence, and went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.

He was born on Nov. 30, 1956 to Gene and Mary Lou Huff.

Larry was known for his love of farming, ranching, and his involvement in the community he loved and lived in all of his life. He courageously fought brain cancer for 14 months while continuing to do what he enjoyed most.

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife of 12 years, Mimi LaGrone Huff; son, Glenn Huff and wife Jennifer; daughter, Tracey Huff; son, Dylan Mayfield and wife Jana; and son, Devan Mayfield. He also had one beloved granddaughter, Addison Mayfield. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Lou Huff; sister, Martha Montgomery and husband Wayne; niece, Leslie Moore and husband Todd; great-niece, Lauren and great-nephew Cash; as well as, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Huff.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Huff, Steven Huff, Paul Huff, Dan Huff, Scott Huff, Johnny Wynne, Tommy Burwell and Jason Horton.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

In lieu of flowers family request memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church in Grapeland, or Brain & Spine Center MD Anderson in Houston, or Heart to Heart Hospice in Lufkin.
