Services for Nelda Cook Mack, 85, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Woody Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.
Mrs. Mack died Wednesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 19, 1928, in Anderson County to Ira Cook Sr. and Jessie Thompson Cook.
Following graduation from Palestine High School, she attended Nixon Business College and worked many years as a legal secretary. In 1968 she married Melvin Mack and became a full-time homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a previous member of North Jackson Baptist Church where she served as the organist for many years.
Mrs. Mack, was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin A. Mack, in 2008; two sisters, Oleta Wilkerson and Mildred Cook; and a brother, Ira Cook Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Jeanette Rawls and husband Don of Fort Worth, Sandra Titlow and husband Johnney of Tennessee Colony, and Glenda Wall and husband Rory of Palestine; also niece, Lynda Sansom and husband Jimmy of Palestine; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tad Titlow, Bill Phelps, David Spann, Ryan Pierson, Aaron LaBove and Will Boyd.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey Funeral Home.
