PALESTINE — Funeral services for Mary “Sue” Briley, 63, of Tennessee Colony, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Donald Lacy officiating. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery in Palestine. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Ms. Briley died Wednesday at her residence.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1949 in Virginia, to Curtis and Gladys Briley.

Ms. Briley worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for many years. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Amy Ryder.

Ms. Briley is survived by grandson, Austin Ryder; brothers, Jim Briley and Curtis Briley; uncle and aunt, Ray and Ebe Briley; uncle Dalton Briley; extended family, Alice Sanders and Misty Atchison; numerous other friends, special friends, and little man Spencer.

Pallbearers will be Jody Hefner, Keith Atchison, Lynwood Cook, Kevin Moore, Todd Foxworth, Doug Jock and Bill Watts.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
