D.R. Ingram

Graveside services for Dennis Ray Ingram, 90, of Tennessee Colony, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Tennessee Colony Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Ingram died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 6, 1922, in a log cabin on Beaver Creek to Solan and Gladys (Humphrey) Ingram. He served in the U.S. Army Military Police during World War II in the Philippines. He returned home from the war to Tennessee Colony where he was a longtime owner-operator of a dairy and cattle operation. He also farmed raising peanuts, cotton, sugar cane, peas, and hay.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine (McKenzie) Ingram; daughter, Glenda Kay Roberts; grandson, Clint Ingram; brothers, William H. (Cotton) Ingram, J.C. (Red) Ingram, Calvin (Cat) Ingram; and a sister, Addie Bea (Sis) Humphrey.

Mr. Ingram is survived by his son, Ronnie Ingram of Tennessee Colony; four grandsons, Chris Ingram of Tennessee Colony, Raymond Roberts of Sulphur Springs, Roger Roberts of Yantis and Richard Roberts of Sulphur Springs; two granddaughters, Rhonda Potter and Rachelle Villarreal, both of Sulphur Springs; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
