Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Score the ham in a diamond pattern across the skin. Rub the remaining ingredients over the skin and the meat and stud the skin with the pineapple and cherries. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan and allow 18 to 20 minutes per pound cooking time or until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 140 degrees. Place on a platter and serve.
