AUSTIN — Palestine golfer Kyle Woodard jumped up the standings to finish tied for sixth at the Class 3A state golf tournament Friday afternoon at Roy Kizer Golf Course.
Woodard was tied for 24th after the first day but he shot a 70 in the second round — the second lowest score of the day.
Woodard finished in a four-way tie with a two-day total of 147. Devin’s Jacob Torans won the tournament with a 141.
