Gean had to recite — from memory — all five paragraphs of the FFA Creed (254 words, total) and then answer three thought questions about the creed’s meaning. He was judged on accuracy of statements, voice quality and emotion. Once again, an eighth grader competing against high school freshmen and sophomores.
