Slocum ISD news for 2-8-09

â—� Field Trip — The Pre-K and Kindergarten classes of Slocum ISD recently enjoyed a trip to the local airport. The field trip took place after studying a unit about transportation. The students rode busses there and got to learn about the airplanes up close and personal. A special thank you goes out to Captain Harden and Mr. Rucker for taking the time to meet with the students for a hands-on experience of learning!

â—� Homecoming Queen — Kaylee Webb, a sophomore at Slocum High School was crowned 2009 Homecoming Queen. She is the daughter of Steve and Tammy Webb. Jacob Bowman, sophomore, was her escort for the evening. Jacob is the son of Glenn and Ginger Bowman of Slocum. Congratulations!
