Slocum ISD School Happenings for 3-4-07

• Mustangs — The Slocum Mustangs started the season with a 16-5 win over Apple Springs.

• Monday Blood Drive — The Beta Club will host a blood drive through Stewart Regional Blood Center in front of the school on Monday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donors must be 17 years of age and weigh at least 110 lbs. Please bring your drivers license for identification.

• Texas Public Schools Weeks — Texas Public Schools Week is March 5-9.

• Spring Break — Spring Break will be March 12-16.

• JV Boys Baseball — JV boys baseball will play Monday at home against Frankston at 4 p.m. Girls softball will be in action against Madisonville, there, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Girls will also be in the Woden Tournament over the weekend. The boys varsity will play Latexo at home at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, and then play again on Friday, here at 4 p.m. against Chireno.
