Frankston senior Jameka King was named the District 19-2A Most Valuable Player after she helped her team win the district title.

King was joined on the District 19-2A team by teammate Veronica Dewberry, who was selected as the Most Defensive Blocker and first-team members Brandi Field, a junior, and Randi Marshall, a senior. Frankston’s Megan Parker, a sophomore was selected to the second team.

Grapeland junior Chasity Huff was the Most Valuable Setter while teammates Opal Hughes, a senior, and Christy Willis, a sophomore, were named to the first team. Grapeland’s Courtney Darsey, a senior, and Megan Kendrick, a junior, were second-team selections.

Grapeland head coach Felicia Meador, in her first year at the helm of the Sandiette program, was named the Coach of the Year.

Elkhart’s Kari Haferkamp, a senior, was the district’s Most Defensive Passer while the Lady Elk seniors Kayla Herring and Janae Lock were first-team selections. Elkhart senior Martisa Hallston was a second-team selection.
