Becton-Hoskison wedding
Holly Lynn Becton and Michael Cole Hoskison, both of Palestine, were married June 6 at Southside Baptist Church.
The Rev. Steve Holcombe of College Station performed the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Bryan and Missy Becton of Palestine
Joe and Marilyn Becton of Palestine and Georgia Warren of Houston are grandparents of the bride.
Parents of the groom are Randy and Lynn Hoskison of Palestine. Grandparents of the groom are Louie and Wanda Goates of Commerce.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown by Sottero and Midgley. The one piece, slim A-line silhouette gown with corset closure in back, was made out of soft bridal satin with a sophisticated lace overlay, and featured an asymmetrical gathered satin panel wrapped across the waistline. The waist was accented with a satin bow placed gently at the front side hip. The lace and satin skirt flowed into a short chapel length train.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses wrapped in cream satin ribbon.
Attending the bride was matron of honor, Jennifer Grissom Smith of Dallas.
Bridesmaids were Katie Gurganus Stephens of College Station, Melanie Roberts Heller of Bryan, Amy Thornton of Palestine and Kristin Willmott of Palestine.
The matron of honor wore a Tiffany blue cotton sateen strapless knee-length dress with ruching at the empire waistline. The attendants wore Tiffany blue cotton sateen sleeveless v-neck knee-length dresses. They carried hand-tied bouquets of white roses wrapped with cream satin ribbon.
House party members included Courtney Ives Johnson of Palestine; Kaysie Ives of College Station; Felecia Tutt of Pflugerville; Kathryn Washington of College Station and Viki Grobe of College Station.
Best man was Zan Hoskison of Palestine.
Groomsmen were Brooks Scoggin; Brandon Bing; Shane Britton and Casey Johnston, all of Palestine.
Ushers were Drew Becton, Ethan Becton and Will Stevens, all of Palestine.
Flower girls were Emily and Raegan Hill of Palestine.
Ring bearer was Dylan Walker of Ferris.
Providing music were Judy Neill, Olivia Hill and Dustin Willmott, all of Palestine.
A reception hosted by the bride’s family was held at the Museum for East Texas Culture.
Following a wedding tip to Whistler, British Columbia, the couple will reside near Weatherford.
The bride is a graduate of Palestine High School and Texas A&M University.
The groom is a graduate of Westwood High School and Texas A&M Commerce and is employed by Westdale Asset Management.
