7-13 Ferguson-Jackson wedding

Lisa Elaine Ferguson of Palestine and Cade Daniel Jackson of Athens were married June 14 at Bois D’Arc Baptist Church of Palestine.
The Rev. Jeff Jackson of Athens read vows before an altar decorated with a heart archway twined with greenery and white lights. Large ferns sat on either side of the archway, as well as another large fern that was centered at the feet of the bride and groom. A white unity candle was placed to the right side of the altar.
Parents of the bride are Earl and Lou Dell Ferguson of Palestine and parents of the groom are Jeff and Carla Jackson of Athens.
Escorted by her father the bride wore a white strapless gown from Elaine’s. The bodice of the dress was embellished with crystal beads and an empire satin waistline, which flowed into a sheer overlay that was also trimmed in satin. The bride’s veil was decorated with tiny pearls and trimmed in satin to match the gown.
The bride carried a bouquet of lilies and roses of varying shades of pink with greenery.
Attending the bride were maids of honor Kylie Feagins, friend of the bride, of Athens and Catherine Streetman, friend of the bride, of Palestine.
Bridesmaids were Autumn Rhodes, cousin of the bride, of Palestine and Jessica Jackson of Athens.
Attendants wore watermelon pink, satin halter dresses from David’s Bridal. Dresses were complemented with a light pink satin ribbon at the waist and watermelon pink satin heels.
They carried bouquets of lilies and roses of varying shades of pink with greenery.
Flower girl was Abigail Harris of Athens.
Ring bearer was Jason Harris of Athens.
Best man was Ethan Jackson, brother of the groom, of Athens.
Groomsmen were Ben Smith, Colter Harris, both of Athens and Ricky Cotton of Cleburne.
Ushers were Rusty Smith, Aaron Austin and Jordan Harris, all of Athens.
Providing music was guitarist Colter Harris of Athens, pianist Patsy Williams of Athens and soloists Jessica Jackson of Athens and Braden Herring of Tennessee Colony.
A reception hosted by the parents of the bride was held at the fellowship hall of Bois D’Arc Baptist Church.
House party members included Sheila Smith, Melissa Smith, Gail Cotton, Catherine Cotton, Tina Harris, Jean Williams, Leia Emerine, Sue Kelley and Carolyn Richardson.
The bride is currently attending the University of Texas Tyler for a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
The groom is currently serving in the United States Air Force.
