7-27 Carroll-Field wedding

Meagan Carroll and Chris Field, both of Palestine, were married June 16 at the Tyler Rose Garden of Tyler.

The Rev. Stephanie Scott of Tyler read vows in the midst of the garden surrounded by roses.

Parents of the bride are Charlie and Donna Carroll of Palestine and Gloria Gates of Jacksonville and parents of the groom are Jay and Laura Field of Tyler.

The bride wore a strapped, chiffon gown in white with a V-neck and shirring on the bodice and waistband. The dress had an A-line skirt with a deep V-back.

The bride carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Attending the bride was maid of honor Morgan Carroll, sister of the bride, of Palestine.

Best man was John Hacker, friend of the groom, of Gladewater.

A reception following the ceremony was held in the Camellia Room at the Rose Garden.

Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Palestine.

The bride is a junior at the University of Texas of Tyler majoring in mathematics and a minor in computer science.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler and is employed by the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility.
