7-27 Jones-Mitchell wedding

Anedra Beray Jones and Steven Wayne Mitchell, both of Palestine, were married May 24 at One Way Apostolic Faith Holy Temple Church of Palestine.
The Rev. James M. Busby of Palestine read vows underneath a colonnade wrapped with ivory roses, ivory lace and greenery that stood up under two beautiful chandeliers.
Parents of the bride are James T. and Angela Jones Sr. and Linda Carwell of Palestine, and parents of the groom are Betty Mitchell of Palestine.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an white designer gown by Moui Lee. Her top was custom made by Bobby Smith, an asymmetrical off-the-shoulder sleeveless on one side and a half sleeve on the other side and joined a stacked collar. The gown had a corset waist that gathered with a creped look flowing into a train that bustled.
The bride carried a bouquet of fresh ivory roses, lilies and lavender daisies.
Attending the bride was matron of honor Catevious White, cousin of the bride, of Houston and maid of honor Alfreda Stephens, lifelong friend of the bride, of Palestine.
Bridesmaids were Demarius Jones, sister of the bride, of Palestine; Januel Plumber, Juanita Johnson and Kathy Byrd, all of Palestine; Cheron Westry of San Jose, Calif., Kimberly Jones of Keller and Andrea Jones of Houston.
Attendants wore a variety of different style dresses and colors that coordinated with the wedding by Bari Jay. They carried bouquets of silk roses, lilies, hydrangea flowers that also coordinated with the colors of the wedding and attendants dresses.
Flower girls were Anadria Mitchell, Dyamond Parish of Palestine, Bianca Mitchell and Germia Malone of Duncanville.
Ring bearer was Aaron Johnson Jr. of Palestine.
Bride announcer was P.J. Schultz of Shamrock.
Best man was Aaron Johnson Sr., lifelong friend of the groom, and Adrian Parish, cousin of the groom, both of Palestine.
Groomsmen were George Rhodes, Gregory Mitchell and Tony Mitchell, all of Palestine; Jay Jones of Fort Worth, Jermaine White of Arlington, Joe McGowan of San Francisco, Calif. and Lynn McGruder of Houston.
Ushers were Demarcus Turner of Baton Rouge, La., Demarcus Weaver, Jamaul Parish and Barron Carwell, all of Palestine; and Hani Walee of Jacksonville.
Providing music was a variety of love songs by various artists and soloist Lynn McGruder Sr. of Palestine and Bryan Berry of Carthage.
A reception hosted by the father of the bride was held at the Palestine Civic Center.
House party members included Edna Wright, Syble Simmon, Brenda Reece, Oletha “Tonya” Smith and Chenetral Evans, all friends of the family.
The couple will take a wedding trip at a later date. The couple will reside in Palestine.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Palestine High School and Trinity Valley Community College receiving two associate degrees in psychology and business administration. She will finish her education by attending the University of Texas in Tyler this fall.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Palestine High School and is currently employed with UPS.
